The Old Mission Women’s Club is Proud to Announce $18,000 in 2026 Grants

Traverse City, Michigan - The Old Mission Women’s Club (OMWC), a nonprofit 501(c)(3), has a rich and interesting history in the Old Mission Peninsula community. Established in 1931 with nine members, the Club now has over 140 active members focused on helping local charitable organizations as well as intra-club educational gatherings. Since 2011, the Club has contributed $172,000 to several organizations and has touched many more lives. The funds for the grants are generated solely by fundraisers developed and operated by dedicated and hardworking members. This year, OMWC is honored to announce four grant recipients, each receiving $4,500 for their proposed plans.
NMCAA - The Laundry Project: Provides those with limited funds to have their laundry cleaned. The OMWC grant will help ensure laundry services, consistent with their vision for all children to have an opportunity to maintain a healthy and clean appearance.
Cherryland Humane Society: Provides a safe harbor for the animals entrusted with CHS as they strive to find them responsible, loving and permanent homes while advancing the well-being of animals.
Food Rescue: The region’s local food rescue program delivering over 10,000 lbs of food per day to 70+ pantries and meal programs.
Women’s Resource Center (WRC): To protect, shelter and empower people impacted by domestic and sexual violence.
